My husband, Harry, and I had been happily married for seven years, together for nearly fifteen, and we cherished our two wonderful children, Maya and Luke. Our little family meant everything to me, but navigating our extended family wasn’t always easy. From the day I met my mother-in-law, Charlotte, and Candice, I sensed challenges ahead. Before our wedding, Candice made it clear that she preferred to be the center of attention.
