Michelle Obama is opening up about her decision to skip former President Donald Trump’s second inauguration — and why, even with public speculation, she has no regrets.
In a heartfelt discussion on her podcast IMO, which she co-hosts with her brother Craig Robinson, the former First Lady spoke candidly with actress Taraji P. Henson about learning to prioritize her own well-being, even when doing so leads to criticism.

Now 60, Michelle shared that therapy has played a key role in helping her feel more comfortable setting boundaries. “When I decided not to attend the inauguration — or made other personal choices earlier this year — some people immediately assumed the worst,” she said. “They couldn’t accept that I was simply doing what was best for myself.”
