Man Hears Dog Barking in Front of His House Every Day

Gregory was a man driven by ambition. He wanted nothing more than wealth and status, even if it meant using his own family to get ahead. So when his son Alex fell in love with Allison, the daughter of Gregory’s wealthy business partner, William, Gregory saw an opportunity. To him, the relationship wasn’t just about love—it was a chance to further his own goals.

William agreed to the marriage, but with one condition: Alex and Allison needed a proper home. Gregory, unwilling to spend money on a new house, remembered his elderly mother, Lucy, who lived alone in a beautiful Victorian home. Seeing a way to solve his problem, Gregory told Lucy she would be moving to a nursing home. He promised it would be for her safety, hiding his real motive: to give her house to Alex and Allison without spending a penny.

Lucy hesitated. “But I’m perfectly fine here,” she said. Gregory, with a forced smile, reassured her. “It’s for your own good. You’ll have people to look after you.” Reluctantly, Lucy agreed, asking only for visits from Gregory and Alex. Gregory promised, but once she moved, he forgot all about her.

Months passed, and Lucy sat alone in the nursing home, her son’s promises broken. Then one day, Gregory called Alex with news that shook him. “She passed peacefully,” Gregory said. “The house is yours now. You can move in whenever you’re ready.”

Alex was devastated. “When’s the funeral?” he asked.

“There was no funeral,” Gregory lied. “No need to worry about that.”
