On June 14, the Pope is set to deliver a video message during a large outdoor Mass in Chicago, the same day as former President Donald Trump’s planned birthday parade in Washington, D.C.
While both events were independently scheduled, their overlap has generated curiosity and conversation across platforms, with many observers pointing out the striking contrast in tone and messaging.
The Mass, organized by the Archdiocese of Chicago, will take place at Guaranteed Rate Field—home to the Pope’s favorite Major League Baseball team, the Chicago White Sox.
