In a heartfelt statement shared Friday morning, the family expressed deep sorrow over the passing of a woman who was a steady presence in their lives.
Michelle Obama paid tribute to her mother with moving words on social media, describing her as “my rock” and a source of unwavering support throughout her life. “She was there for whatever I needed—the same steady support for our whole family,” Michelle wrote. “We’re heartbroken to lose her today.”
