I went into my girlfriend’s bathroom one evening and noticed something unusual on the floor.
At first glance, it looked like a small piece of dark, rubbery debris. I assumed it might have fallen from an object or somehow been tracked in from outside. However, its unusual shape made me take a closer look.
After inspecting it more carefully, I realized it was alive.
Curious and slightly surprised, I researched what I had found and compared it with reliable identification resources. The answer appeared to be a leech, a type of segmented invertebrate commonly found in moist environments.
