A homeless man seated in Dunkin’ Donuts epitomized this disparity; struggling to get by with spare change, he remained invisible to those around until the woman approached him.
In a gesture of empathy, she spent nearly an hour conversing with him before her class, generously purchasing him coffee and a bagel from her own pocket. Before parting ways, he handed her a note, its significance unclear to her.
Irrespective of circumstances, it’s imperative to cultivate an environment where every individual is esteemed and acknowledged.
