FDA Recalls Clover Valley Instant Coffee Sold in 48 States

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a voluntary recall of certain Clover Valley® instant coffee products sold at Dollar General stores in 48 states. The decision follows a customer report of possible glass particles in some containers.

No injuries have been reported, but the FDA advises that consuming products with foreign material could pose a safety risk. Customers are urged to stop using the affected coffee immediately.

The recalled product is packaged in 8-ounce containers and can be identified by the following lot numbers: L-5163, L-5164, and L-5165, with best-by dates of 12/13/2026 or 12/14/2026.

Consumers should check their packaging and return any matching items to Dollar General for a full refund. More details, including store locations and product information, are available on the retailer’s official website.

Dollar General operates more than 20,500 stores nationwide, meaning the recall may affect a significant number of customers. The company emphasized that customer safety is its top priority and confirmed it is working closely with the FDA.
