Deadly Dallas ICE Shooting: Multiple Victims, Shooter Dead

A shocking shooting at the Dallas ICE Detention Facility on Wednesday left multiple victims, sources confirm. The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. local time as ICE officers were transferring detainees into the facility. Authorities say the shooter died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed that there were “multiple fatalities” in the attack. Officials report that three people were shot, with two confirmed dead. No law enforcement officers were injured during the shooting.

“The shooting happened this morning at the Dallas ICE Detention Facility,” Noem posted on X. “Details are still emerging, but we can confirm there were multiple injuries and fatalities. The shooter is deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. While we don’t know the motive yet, our ICE law enforcement faces unprecedented violence. Please keep the victims and their families in your prayers.”

Authorities say the shooter opened fire while the sally port to the facility was open during the detainee transfer, attempting to force his way in. It remains unclear whether the shooter is counted among the three people shot.

Vice President JD Vance expressed his concern on X: “The obsessive attacks on law enforcement, especially ICE, must stop. I’m praying for everyone hurt in this attack and their families.”
