Questions surrounding Donald Trump’s health have resurfaced — louder and sharper than ever. While the White House physician insists the 78-year-old president remains in “excellent health,” others within his own party are not so sure. Rick Wilson, a veteran Republican strategist and co-founder of the Lincoln Project, has publicly voiced serious doubts about Trump’s mental fitness, warning that a cognitive decline could prevent him from completing another term in office.
The concern reignited after Trump’s most recent medical evaluation in April — an examination meant to silence growing speculation about his condition. According to White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella, Trump displayed “robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function.” The official report praised his “active lifestyle” and healthy habits, crediting them for his stamina and resilience.
Physically, Trump’s numbers looked strong. Standing 6’3” and weighing just over 220 pounds, he has reportedly lost around 25 pounds since leaving office. His cholesterol has improved, and he continues to avoid alcohol and tobacco — habits that have undoubtedly benefited his long-term health. Minor issues, like sun damage and scarring from the 2024 Butler rally attack, were noted but deemed insignificant.
