Kids are naturally full of energy and creativity… sometimes in ways that leave adults speechless. I remember once at five, I thought it’d be brilliant to color my bunk bed with a marker. My parents… less impressed.
But some kids take creativity to a whole new level — literally.
In Surrey, UK, a group of children was out on an Easter egg hunt for charity, raising money for a boy with leukemia. Suddenly, they heard the whirring of a helicopter. A police helicopter, to be exact — chasing two suspected burglars who had split up to escape.
The kids didn’t panic. They sprang into action. With quick thinking, they used their own bodies to form a giant human arrow on the ground, pointing the police toward the fleeing suspects.
At first, the officers weren’t sure what they were seeing. Then they realized — the children were guiding them straight to the burglars. Thanks to these quick-thinking youngsters, the men, aged 27 and 28, were arrested for burglary.
Police later returned to thank the kids personally, celebrating their clever idea and bravery.
Talk about smart and courageous! I’m not sure I could have come up with something that clever as a kid.
