Authorities identified the suspect as 29-year-old Rahmanullah Lakanwal, an Afghan national who arrived in the United States in 2021 and was later hospitalized after being confronted by law enforcement. In it, Trump referred to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz in a dismissive way and made pointed remarks about Representative Ilhan Omar, referencing her background and political positions.
