Hollywood Icon Rob Reiner and Wife Michele Singer Reiner Found Dead at Home
Hollywood legend Rob Reiner — the Emmy‑winning actor and acclaimed director behind classics including All in the Family, Stand by Me, When Harry Met Sally…, and A Few Good Men — and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home on Sunday, December 14, 2025. Law enforcement officials are investigating the deaths as an apparent homicide.
Emergency responders discovered the couple inside their residence Sunday afternoon. Both Reiner, 78, and Singer Reiner, 68, were found with injuries law enforcement sources described as consistent with knife wounds. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call for medical aid at around 3:30 p.m., and the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery‑Homicide Division later took over the investigation.
Authorities have confirmed the deaths and are actively investigating the circumstances, but no official suspect or motive has been publicly announced at this time.
