Her mother, Donna Ganger, described Renee to the Minnesota Star-Tribune as “one of the kindest people I’ve ever known,” emphasizing her daughter’s lifelong compassion and love for her family. “Renee was extremely compassionate. She was loving, forgiving, and affectionate. She was probably terrified in her final moments. Her death was senseless and avoidable,” Ganger said.
