On Instagram, DeGeneres, 67, addressed the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old woman who was killed in Minneapolis earlier this month. According to reports, Good was shot on January 7 after dropping off her six-year-old child at school during an encounter involving federal immigration agents. The incident remains under investigation.
In a video message shared with her followers, DeGeneres expressed sympathy for the Minneapolis community, referencing her connection to the city through her 2024 Netflix stand-up special, Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval, which was filmed there.
