An email included in a newly released tranche of US Justice Department documents relating to Jeffrey Epstein shows an individual writing to Ghislaine Maxwell from “Balmoral” and asking whether she had “found me some new inappropriate friends”, signing off “A xxx”. The message, dated August 2001, is part of a set of exchanges in the files between Maxwell and a sender using the email address “[email protected]” and the alias “The Invisible Man”, according to the material posted by the department as part of its latest disclosures under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
In the email, the sender tells Maxwell: “I am up here at Balmoral Summer Camp for the Royal Family.” He describes a packed schedule and fatigue, writing that activities “take place all day” and that he is “totally exhausted at the end of each day”. He goes on to ask about Maxwell’s whereabouts and then poses the line that has drawn the most attention: “How’s LA? Have you found me some new inappropriate friends?” The same email sets out a window of availability, saying he is free “from 25th August until 2nd Sept” and wants to go “somewhere hot and sunny with some fun people” before returning to work. He ends: “Any ideas gratefully received! See ya A xxx.”
