A sign displayed in the window of a Dairy Queen in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, has stirred controversy online.
The sign highlights the restaurant’s use of traditional holiday greetings like “Merry Christmas” and “Happy Easter,” as well as expressions of gratitude to veterans on Veterans Day.
Owner Kevin Scheunemann defends the sign, explaining that it was put up nearly four years ago to reflect the values of both himself and his staff, emphasizing their commitment to faith and patriotism.
The sign was initially posted in response to a customer complaint about the Christian music played in the restaurant and hadn’t caused any significant issues until recently.
