Being a new mom to twins, Lily and Lucas, had left me completely drained. My days were a blur of feedings, diaper changes, and barely enough time for basic things like brushing my teeth. Sleep was a luxury I could no longer afford.
Brad, my next-door neighbor, took Halloween very seriously. Every year, he went all out with elaborate decorations that made his house the talk of the neighborhood. But with everything I had on my plate, I didn’t care much about his display.
One morning, as I juggled the twins outside, I noticed my car covered in eggs. I stared at the sticky mess in disbelief. At first, I assumed it was just some Halloween prank, but then I saw the trail of egg splatters leading right up to Brad’s house. My suspicion was confirmed when I confronted him.
With a smug grin, Brad admitted to egging my car, saying it was blocking the view of his decorations. He didn’t even ask me to move it first. Too tired to argue, I walked away, fuming.
