Elsie’s one wish was for her grandson Josh to meet someone special and settle down. So when a young teacher named Allison joined her kindergarten staff, Elsie saw a chance to play matchmaker. But their meeting took an unexpected turn.
I’m a meddling grandmother, but I mean well. At 27, Josh is always working or gaming, rarely stepping out to socialize. “You need to get out more,” I’d tell him. “Don’t you want to meet someone?”
Josh would smile, “I know, Gran. But work’s my focus right now.”
