Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest individual, is reportedly going all-in on his home life as well, constructing an enormous 14,400-square-foot mansion designed to bring his large family closer together.
Musk, who has 11 children with three different women, aims to create a space where his kids, along with two of their mothers, can live nearby. This would allow the younger siblings to grow up together while giving Musk more time with his family.
Recent reports from international outlets indicate that Musk is working to bring his entire family under one roof, with plans to move into three adjoining mansions in Austin, Texas. These homes are designed to keep his family close while providing ample space.
However, his partner, singer Claire Boucher (known professionally as Grimes), has voiced opposition to Musk’s vision. The couple, who share three children, have been in the midst of a custody dispute.
Grimes reportedly wants a separate mansion, possibly in Los Angeles, where Musk’s ex-partners and their children can live together, according to reports from The Bytes.
The massive project is not cheap, with the compound’s total value estimated at $35 million. This includes a six-bedroom mansion located just a 10-minute walk from Musk’s primary villa.
