A nervous recruit stood on the firing range after missing the target again…and again…and again. After nearly fifty attempts, his Drill Instructor finally snapped.
“What is going on with you?” the DI barked. “Why can’t you hit the target? What did you do before you joined up?”
“I was a cable TV repairman, sir,” the recruit replied confidently.
The instructor scoffed. “Then what’s the problem?”
The recruit paused, inspected his rifle carefully, checked it again, then gave it one more look. After a moment, he nodded to himself.
“Well, the equipment seems fine,” he said. “So the issue must be on the receiving end.”
A Kindergarten Mystery That Escalated Quickly
A kindergarten class was asked to share something exciting they’d learned at home.
One little boy walked to the board, drew a small dot with chalk, then returned to his seat.
The teacher smiled politely. “That’s a dot. What’s exciting about that?”
