The sole surviving member of the Nelon family has released a touching statement following the tragic loss of her loved ones.
A plane carrying the Nelon family, well-known for their gospel music, crashed, resulting in the deaths of all on board.
The devastating accident claimed the lives of seven individuals, including Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber, and her husband Nathan Kistler. Also among the victims were Melanie Hodges, a family staff member, and the pilot Larry Haynie along with his wife, Melissa.
Autumn Nelon Streetman, the only surviving member of the family, was not on the flight.
The crash occurred in Wyoming while the group was traveling to Alaska for the Gaither Homecoming Cruise. Witnesses reported that the plane caught fire upon impact, and emergency responders were quick to the scene as a wildfire ensued.
The Wyoming sheriff’s office confirmed that there were no survivors.
In her statement, Autumn Nelon Streetman shared her sorrow: “As many of you may have heard, my parents, Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, along with my sister Amber, brother-in-law Nathan, and our dear friends Melanie Hodges, Larry, and Melissa Haynie, were involved in a tragic plane crash on Friday.”
