The couple met in 1972 on the set of “Badlands,” where Spacek starred and Fisk was a set builder. Initially skeptical about marriage, they humorously prepared for a possible split by saving just enough for a divorce fee. However, their relationship only deepened over time, making them inseparable. Spacek muses that only a dramatic event like death could part them now.
