A devastating accident in Manitoba, Canada, on Thursday has resulted in the loss of at least 15 lives. The tragedy occurred when a bus carrying elderly passengers collided with a truck at an intersection near Carberry, about 170 kilometers west of Winnipeg.

The bus was en route to a casino in Carberry when the collision happened. Deputy Police Officer Rob Hill, commander of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Manitoba, confirmed, “At least 15 individuals were pronounced dead as a result of the collision.” Harrowing images from the scene showed destroyed wheelchair seats and walking frames among the wreckage, highlighting the severity of the crash.
In addition to the fatalities, ten other individuals have been hospitalized and are receiving medical care. Both drivers involved in the accident survived, but authorities have not yet released information regarding who was at fault for the collision.
