Brooklyn Beckham’s Ex Opens Up About Victoria During Their Relationship

As tensions in the Beckham family continue to make headlines, a past interview from Brooklyn Beckham’s former girlfriend has resurfaced, shedding new light on Victoria Beckham just as the public feud between mother and son intensifies.

Before spending Christmas in Miami with his wife’s family, Brooklyn – the 26-year-old son of football legend David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham – reportedly blocked his parents and siblings on social media. According to the Daily Mail, he insisted that all communication go through legal representatives, signaling a growing rift.

A month later, on January 19, Brooklyn surprised fans with a series of candid Instagram posts accusing his parents of years of control and manipulation.

Brooklyn Speaks Out

In his now-viral message, Brooklyn began:

“I have been silent for years and have made every attempt to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”

He then made a definitive break from his family, emphasizing:

“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled. I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.”

Brooklyn also criticized what he described as performative actions, saying:

“The performative social media posts, family events, and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”

Wedding Controversy

One of Brooklyn’s most personal accusations related to his 2022 wedding with Nicola Peltz. He claimed the celebration was “hijacked” by his mother, alleging Victoria “danced very inappropriately” during a moment meant to be shared with his wife.

“I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life,” he wrote, adding that his family treated Nicola as “not blood” and “not family.”

Brooklyn continued:

“My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together. My mum has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable.”

David Beckham Responds

Victoria and David Beckham have not directly commented on the public dispute. However, in a January 20 interview with CNBC’s Squawk Box, David made remarks many saw as a subtle reply:

“They make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn. That is what I try to teach my kids. You sometimes have to let them make those mistakes as well.”

Looking Back at Brooklyn’s Past Relationships

While much of the attention has focused on Brooklyn’s current struggles, fans have also revisited his high-profile past relationship with actress Chloë Grace Moretz, now 28. The couple dated on and off between 2014 and 2018 after meeting at a SoulCycle class, quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s most talked-about young pairs.

In a 2014 interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Moretz praised Victoria Beckham:

“[Victoria is] an amazing person. I really admire her work ethic… I love her line. I think as a family, they’re awesome people.”

She also complimented their parenting:

“He’s a great dad, she’s a great mother. They genuinely are very good parents. That’s what matters most—they made a pretty son,” she said.

However, Moretz admitted in a 2016 British InStyle interview that dating someone from such a high-profile family was challenging:

“It’s horrible and weird. It creates a mass frenzy. They follow you in separate cars, so you can’t just run around and share little silly and cute moments.”

Following their split in 2018, Moretz declined to send a message to Brooklyn, telling Elle:

“I want nothing to be said…”

Public Opinion

The Beckham family feud, paired with Brooklyn’s candid statements and reflections from his ex, has left fans divided. While the spotlight remains on his personal struggles, the renewed interest in his past relationships offers insight into the pressures of growing up in one of the world’s most famous families.

What are your thoughts on Brooklyn’s candid statements and the ongoing Beckham family drama?
