CNN Humiliated, Forced to Report 4th of July Gas Prices Hit a Four-Year Low

CNN recently reported that national gas prices have reached their lowest point in four years, just ahead of the Fourth of July holiday—a trend the White House has attributed to current economic policies.

In a segment aired on June 30, 2025, CNN anchors John Berman and Matt Egan discussed the drop in fuel costs, with Egan noting, “This is good news because it should be relatively cheap to fill up your tank this holiday weekend.” He explained that the national average was projected to fall between $3.10 and $3.15 per gallon, according to data from GasBuddy. This marks a notable decrease from the $3.49 per gallon recorded during the same holiday weekend in 2024.

Egan added that the price shift could mean Americans are collectively spending “approximately half a billion dollars less on gasoline this holiday weekend compared to last year.” He also referenced the price surge seen three years ago, when gas approached nearly $5 per gallon, describing that period as especially difficult for consumers.

The White House Communications Office responded to the news with a statement highlighting what it described as progress on several economic fronts. A release dated June 27, 2025, noted, “Americans are experiencing the lowest summertime gas prices since 2021—over 20 cents lower than one year ago—as President Donald J. Trump fulfills his commitments to lower prices, stabilize inflation, and increase wages.”
