A family’s beach outing turned unexpectedly serious after they unknowingly interacted with a historic military device later confirmed to be an unexploded World War II bomb.
Kelly Gravell and her two young children were enjoying a day out on the beach near Burry Port, Carmarthenshire, when they came across what appeared to be an old buoy, partially covered in seaweed. They posed for photos beside it and even made light-hearted remarks about its appearance.
