Donald Trump issues alarming warning after abrupt G7 exit

Shortly after leaving the summit, Trump issued a post on his Truth Social platform stating, “Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign. What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CANNOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON.” He also called for evacuations from Tehran, further highlighting the seriousness of the situation.

Trump has long advocated for a revised nuclear agreement with Iran and has been critical of the pace of international negotiations involving the P5+1 nations (the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, China, and Russia). His latest message suggests a renewed urgency around these efforts.

In the wake of his departure, French President Emmanuel Macron commented that Trump had left to potentially assist in ceasefire discussions related to the Middle East situation. However, Trump clarified in a subsequent post that his return to Washington was not related to any ceasefire negotiations. “Much bigger than that,” he wrote, without elaborating.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed the change in schedule, stating that while the summit was productive, the President’s early departure was necessary given ongoing developments abroad. “Much was accomplished, but because of what’s going on in the Middle East, President Trump will be leaving tonight after dinner with Heads of State,” she said in a social media statement.

The situation remains fluid, with global leaders monitoring developments closely. As discussions continue behind the scenes, attention is focused on finding pathways to stability and reducing tensions in the region.
