Donald Trump slammed for “psychotic” statement on G7 exit

Former President Donald Trump is drawing significant attention after leaving the G7 summit in Canada a day early, sparking criticism and debate over the timing and messaging surrounding his departure.

The G7 summit, which brings together leaders from the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan, serves as a platform for addressing global economic and security issues. Trump’s early exit on Monday (June 16) drew notice, particularly as world leaders prepared a joint statement focused on reducing tensions in the Middle East.

According to a statement from White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Trump left after a dinner with fellow leaders due to growing international developments. “Much was accomplished, but because of what’s going on in the Middle East, President Trump will be leaving tonight after dinner,” she shared on X (formerly Twitter).
