A Christmas Surprise for Victoria
Victoria’s children rarely called, except on Christmas. This year, however, things seemed different. “Matthew, about today—”
“I’m busy, Mom. I’ll call you later,” he interrupted, hanging up quickly.
Victoria felt her heart sink. She called Marina next, but received the same dismissive response.
An Unexpected Silence
As Christmas neared, Victoria realized neither of her children had called to discuss holiday plans. Normally, they celebrated at one of their homes, but this year, she was left in the dark.
