The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) called for an investigation after a Muslim family visiting Alabama claimed they found bacon in their food order at a local McDonald’s restaurant.
According to reports, the family had traveled from New York and stopped at a McDonald’s location in Decatur, Alabama. They ordered 14 McChicken sandwiches, a menu item they were familiar with and had eaten regularly.
However, while eating their meal, several family members noticed something unusual about the taste of the sandwiches. Upon closer inspection, they said they discovered bacon—a food that is prohibited in Islam.
