On November 6, Barron joined his family on stage at Mar-a-Lago after casting his first vote in favor of his father. Typically camera-shy and rarely seen during his father’s campaign rallies, Barron surprised viewers with his commanding presence. Trump took the opportunity to joke about his son’s height, attributing it to his late mother-in-law, Amalija Knavs, who passed away in 2024. “She took great care of Barron. That’s how he got so tall—he only ate her food,” Trump said.
Despite his father’s suggestion that he pursue basketball, Barron has different interests. “I told him, ‘You’re gonna be a basketball player,’” Trump shared. “But Barron said, ‘I like soccer, Dad.’ At his height, I’d prefer basketball, but you can’t talk them into everything.”
Now a freshman at New York University’s Stern School of Business, Barron is forging his own path. “He’s a very smart guy,” Trump said, noting that Barron was accepted into multiple colleges. “He’s no longer a child; he’s doing great.”
