The Anniversary Photo
Everything changed the moment Thomas and Sienna shared a photo on social media to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary. A mysterious face appeared in the background, sparking a series of events that would lead them to uncover a hidden truth.
Thomas set the camera’s timer and hurried to join Sienna in front of the fireplace. “Ten years,” he said, smiling warmly.
“Ten years of us,” Sienna replied, her eyes soft with affection.
The camera beeped, and just as the flash went off, Sienna thought she heard a faint noise from the hallway. She paused but quickly dismissed it, focusing on the cozy moment. The next morning, Sienna woke to sunlight streaming through the windows and the constant buzzing of her phone. “Check that, hon,” Thomas mumbled, half-asleep. “It’s been going off for a while.”
Sienna grabbed her phone from the nightstand. Her social media post had exploded with comments and notifications. As she scrolled, her confusion grew.
“People are saying there’s something strange in the background of our photo,” she said, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
Thomas yawned and leaned over. “Strange? Like what?”
Sienna handed him the phone. A highlighted screenshot showed a faint, blurry face near her shoulder. “What is that?” she whispered, her heart rate picking up.
“Probably just a glitch,” Thomas said, though his voice lacked certainty. He handed the phone back and went to the bathroom.
But Sienna couldn’t shake the feeling. She opened the original photo and zoomed in. The face wasn’t a glitch—it was too clear, too unsettling. “Thomas, look again. This… this is real,” she said, her voice trembling slightly.
Thomas was skeptical but agreed to investigate. He tested the camera and took several more photos in the same spot, hoping for an explanation. Each one showed strange figures in the background. “Thomas, I think our house might be haunted,” Sienna said, her voice shaking with uncertainty.
