Hurricane set to hit the US has become unsurvivable as experts warn of catastrophic impact

Hurricane Rafael, an unusually strong storm for this time of year, is gaining intensity as it moves through the western Caribbean. Recently upgraded to a Category 2 hurricane with sustained winds near 110 mph, Rafael is expected to bring severe weather to parts of the Caribbean and possibly the southeastern United States.

Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center (NHC) are closely monitoring Rafael’s progress, noting that while November typically marks the end of hurricane season, late-season storms like this can still pose serious risks. Landfall is anticipated in western Cuba within hours, with warnings in place for heavy rain, strong winds, and potential flash flooding. Up to three inches of rain could fall in affected areas.

After moving past Cuba, Rafael is projected to enter the Gulf of Mexico, where warm water temperatures may allow the storm to intensify further. Meteorologists are watching closely to see whether Rafael could reach Category 3 strength before approaching the U.S. Gulf Coast later this week.

Communities from Texas to the Florida Panhandle are being advised to stay alert. Portions of the Florida Keys and nearby coastal areas are under hurricane warnings. Even regions outside the direct path of the storm could experience impacts such as heavy rain, gusty winds, or isolated tornadoes.
