Judge Frank Caprio Dies At 88, Shared Heartbreaking Message Hours Before Passing

Caprio’s career began after being admitted to the bar in 1965, and he went on to leave a lasting legacy in both law and public life. His memoir, Compassion in the Court: Life-Changing Stories from America’s Nicest Judge, captured some of his most memorable experiences and the philosophy that guided his decisions.

Reflecting on his illness in an earlier interview, Caprio said, “My first reaction was disbelief. But then I thought: I have lived a life full of blessings. I’m not going to let this define my later years.”
