Julia Robert’s daughter is growing up quickly and looks just like her mom back in the day

A Family Life Away from Hollywood

Julia Roberts met cinematographer Daniel Moder on the set of The Mexican in 2000. The couple married in 2002 and welcomed twins Hazel and Phinnaeus in 2004, followed by their youngest son, Henry, in 2007.

According to Roberts, marriage and motherhood transformed her life. “When I think about what makes my life my life … it’s him,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in reference to her husband. “Everything has come from that for me.”

Over the years, Roberts has shared only a few glimpses into her family life. One such rare moment was when she posted a sweet photo with her husband on their 19th anniversary, captioning it: “19 years. Just getting started!”

Raising Children Outside the Spotlight

To give her children a more grounded upbringing, Roberts and her family relocated from Los Angeles to San Francisco. A friend of the family explained: “Her kids are not movie star kids in San Francisco, where no one cares who your mom is.”

Despite her efforts to keep her family life private, occasional photos of her children—especially her daughter Hazel—have emerged and sparked interest online. Many have noticed the striking resemblance between Hazel and her famous mother.

Hazel, now in her late teens, made her red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival in 2021, attending with her father. Her poised presence and elegant style caught the attention of fans and media alike.

A Heart of Gold

In addition to their shared looks, Hazel seems to have inherited her mother’s kind spirit. When she was 12, Hazel cut her long blonde hair and donated it to Wigs for Kids, a charity that creates hairpieces for children experiencing hair loss due to medical conditions.

“That’s a big deal for a girl who’s about to be 13 and has this cascading blonde hair that gets commented on a lot,” Julia said at the time. “But she’s so good and brave.”

A Proud Mother

Though parenting has brought great joy, Roberts admits it isn’t always easy. “I tried to carry somebody up to bed the other night,” she joked in an interview. “It was just … alright, you’re gonna have to get on your feet and sleepwalk because I just can’t get up the stairs.”

Still, she wouldn’t trade it for anything. “We have these three human beings who are just a complete reflection of the affection we have for each other,” she once said of her children.

What’s your take, do you think Hazel looks just like her mom, Julia Roberts?
