KFC Original Recipe

While the exact ingredients and proportions are not publicly disclosed, many have tried to replicate the flavor of KFC’s chicken through various copycat recipes. Here’s a version that aims to capture the essence of KFC’s iconic taste:

For the chicken:
10 pieces of chicken (a mix of drumsticks, wings, breasts, and thighs)
2 cups of buttermilk
1 egg
For the flour mixture:
2 cups of all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons of paprika
1 tablespoon of onion powder
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
1 tablespoon of dried oregano
1 tablespoon of dried basil
1 tablespoon of dried marjoram
1 tablespoon of white pepper
2 teaspoons of mustard powder
1 teaspoon of ground ginger
1 teaspoon of celery salt
Salt to taste (approximately 1 tablespoon)
