Lainey Wilson’s rise in the country music world has been nothing short of extraordinary. Her latest album, Whirlwind, isn’t just a name—it perfectly captures the fast-paced, exhilarating ride she’s been on over the past few years. But through the awards, sold-out tours, and major television appearances, Wilson remains deeply committed to staying true to herself.
“I’m making sure that I still feel like Lainey—the sister, the friend, the daughter, the aunt, the dog mom,” she shares. “That’s what keeps me connected to who I was before all of this.”
A Year of Milestones
At 32, the Heart Like a Truck singer has become one of the most recognizable voices in country music. In 2024 alone, she headlined her Country’s Cool Again tour, co-hosted the CMA Awards alongside Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning, and delivered a show-stopping halftime performance at the NFL’s Thanksgiving Day game in Dallas.
Even with so much experience under her belt, Lainey says the nerves still come — and she welcomes them. “If I stop getting nervous, that’s when I’ll start to worry,” she says with a smile.
