A video captured a man in military fatigues restraining another man after a confrontation. The incident, which occurred on Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo, New York, sparked a debate online. Some felt the man went too far, while others believed he was justified in his actions.
According to witnesses, the black man, who was believed to be mentally ill, approached the military-dressed man and began behaving aggressively. The situation escalated when the black man allegedly spat on the other man’s car and made derogatory remarks about the military.
In response, the military-dressed man punched the black man, causing him to fall to the ground. He then sat on the black man’s chest to restrain him until the police arrived.
