The search for Nancy Guthrie, mother of Today host Savannah Guthrie, has taken a chilling new turn as investigators and the public scramble for answers. Nearly two weeks after Nancy disappeared from her Arizona home, doorbell footage showed a masked individual outside her residence—but the suspect’s identity remained a mystery. Now, a controversial new development is sparking online buzz: a YouTuber has used artificial intelligence to generate an unmasked image of the figure, and the results are raising eyebrows.
In a recent video, YouTuber Professor Nez shared what he claims is an AI reconstruction of the masked individual, suggesting it could reveal the person’s true face. The footage shows uncanny similarities to a man identified as Dominic Aaron Lee Evans, a longtime friend and former bandmate of Tomasso Cioni, who is married to Annie Guthrie, Nancy’s daughter-in-law. Nez points out details like facial hair, eye shape, and eyebrows, describing the resemblance as “extremely eerie” and noting the AI-generated face mirrors the suspect caught on camera in several striking ways.
