“Yeah, I own a clothing company in New York. We just closed a deal,” he said.
“That’s wonderful! I run a small family boutique in Texas, started by my in-laws in New York. We recently opened a location in Texas, and I was impressed by your designs.”
Louis chuckled sarcastically. “Thanks! But our designs are crafted by top designers; it’s not some local boutique. A BOUTIQUE? Seriously?”
Debbie felt embarrassed but kept her composure. “I understand. It must be a big deal for you.”
“A million-dollar deal,” Louis boasted, shaking his head. “I saw your ticket; I know you’re in business class, but you don’t seem like you belong here. Maybe try economy next time.”
Debbie’s patience wore thin. “Listen, sir, I’m new to business class. My husband is on this flight with us, but…”
Before she could finish, the pilot, Captain Tyler Brown, made an announcement.
“I’d like to thank every passenger, especially my wife, Debbie Brown, who is flying with us today. Your support means the world to me.”
Louis’s face flushed with embarrassment as he realized Debbie’s husband was the pilot.

Tyler stepped out of the cockpit, down on one knee with a ring. “Will you spend the rest of your life with me again, Mrs. Debbie Brown?”
Everyone on the plane watched, captivated, as Debbie nodded yes, tears in her eyes, while the cabin erupted in applause. Louis stood, dumbfounded and embarrassed. Before exiting, Debbie approached him and said, “A materialistic man like you, focused only on money, will never understand the joy of having a loving partner. My husband and I lead a humble life, and we are proud of it!”
