Delivering the twins at 29 weeks, both Kennadi Rue and Mckenli Ackerman spent several weeks in the NICU due to their premature birth.
“They are mono-di twins, each having their own sac but sharing a placenta, which makes them identical,” Savannah explained. “This, combined with Down syndrome, is extremely rare—about one in 2 million.”
Despite their condition, Savannah emphasizes that her daughters are like any other children, full of emotions, abilities, and the determination to achieve milestones.
“They may take a little longer, but they’ll get there,” she affirmed. “These kids are resilient and joyful.”
Sharing regular updates on TikTok, Savannah celebrates each milestone her daughters achieve, encouraging others to see their potential.
Despite facing criticism on social media, Savannah remains steadfast in her love and support for her family.
“When faced with hurtful comments, I simply remind myself that these babies were meant for us,” Savannah wrote in response to negative remarks. “They are loved unconditionally by the right parents.”
