During a recent appointment, her daughter Bailey accompanied her and made a surprising observation. Looking at the ultrasound screen, Bailey asked, “Whose hand is that?” In the image, a shape resembling a large hand appears to be resting gently on the baby’s head.
Amanda shared the image and story on Facebook, calling it a powerful moment that filled her with gratitude. “In one of his pictures, it has the appearance of a hand holding his head,” she wrote. “It brought me to tears thinking about all the support and protection my son has received.”
Since then, Amanda has shared updates about her baby boy’s progress. As of June 20, at 36 weeks, Kyler is growing well, weighing over 7 pounds. “He’s our chunky boy!” she wrote. “Today they monitored his practice breathing. His heart rate was strong. I cannot wait to have him in my arms.”
For Amanda, the ultrasound image has become a symbol of hope—reminding her that healing is possible after loss, and that strength can come even during uncertain times.
Many who saw the image online have offered their own interpretations and messages of encouragement. While some view it as symbolic, others simply see a heartwarming story of a mother’s faith and resilience.
