Mother and Poet Renee Nicole Good Dies in Minneapolis Incident at 37

Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Good nurtured her passion for poetry while raising three children. She was previously married to comedian Timothy Macklin, who passed away in 2023, leaving their six-year-old son with limited family support. Her father-in-law told the press, “There’s nobody else in his life. I’ll drive. I’ll fly. To come and get my grandchild.”

At the time of her death, Good lived in Minneapolis with her partner, whose name has not been publicly released. The fatal encounter has intensified debate over the use of lethal force in public spaces during federal immigration operations and renewed calls for transparency, accountability, and careful review of law enforcement protocols.

Renee Good’s life was marked by creativity, family devotion, and community engagement. Her passing is a stark reminder that behind news headlines are real people, with families, passions, and lives profoundly affected by tragedy.
