My name is Sandra, I’m 57, and I’ve been a widow for several years. Life had been quiet — I enjoyed my coffee, my garden, and my books. But that peace shifted when my son, Derek, and his wife, Lindsay, moved into my home.
At first, it was meant to be temporary. Derek, 28, is hardworking and loyal, and he promised they’d find their own place soon. But months turned into a year, and what was supposed to be a short-term arrangement began to feel permanent.
