My Future Brother in Law Was Always a Pain, but He Went Too Far at Our Wedding and That Was the Last Straw for My Fiance and Me

The Wedding Day Betrayal

Michael and I had waited years for this day—our wedding, the moment we would finally become husband and wife. But his brother, Jordan, had other plans.

He had always been difficult—arrogant, self-centered, and constantly pushing boundaries. But on this day, he took things too far.

A Rocky Start

Michael and I weren’t perfect, but we were real. Our first date was a disaster—I arrived late, flustered, convinced I had ruined everything. But when we met again at a party, he laughed it off.

That night, everything changed. From then on, we were inseparable. We moved in together after three months and spent six wonderful years side by side.

The only issue? Jordan.

A Tense Relationship

Jordan always tried to make everything about himself. He treated Michael like a lesser version of himself, constantly reminding him he was the “older, wiser brother.”

Over time, his behavior became more dismissive, especially toward me. It was clear he didn’t respect my relationship with Michael.

When we got engaged, I wanted to keep the wedding peaceful. I preferred not to have Jordan there, but Michael’s parents insisted.

“If Jordan isn’t invited, we won’t come either,” they warned.

I didn’t want Michael to lose his family, so I compromised. Jordan could attend, but he had to keep his distance.

I should have known better.

The Wedding Day Sabotage

The morning of the wedding, I was filled with excitement. Everything was perfect—the dress, the decorations, the love in the air.

Then came the knock on my bridal suite door.

I smiled and opened it—only to see Jordan standing there.

Before I could react, he tossed something over me.

A cold, sticky liquid soaked into my dress and hair.

I gasped, staring in shock at the bright green substance.

Jordan smirked and walked away, leaving me standing there in disbelief.

Setting the Record Straight

My bridesmaids rushed to help, trying to salvage my dress. But then Stacy, one of my bridesmaids, burst into the room.

“Jordan told everyone you ran away!” she blurted. “Michael is panicking!”

My breath caught. HE DID WHAT?!

I tore off my veil, letting my hair fall loose, and stormed out.

Gasps filled the church as I walked down the aisle, my dress ruined but my determination unshaken.

Michael stood at the altar, his face pale, his hands trembling.

“I didn’t run away!” I declared, my voice cutting through the whispers.

Michael rushed toward me, pulling me into his arms.

“Jordan sabotaged my dress,” I said, my voice shaking. “Then told everyone I left.”

Michael stiffened. Then, he turned, his gaze dark with anger.

“Jordan!” he bellowed. “Care to explain?!”

Jordan shrugged. “Relax, it was just a joke.”

Michael’s expression hardened. “That wasn’t a joke. That was sabotage.”

Jordan rolled his eyes. “You’re always so sensitive.”

Michael took a step forward. “Get out.”

Jordan scoffed. “I was invited. I’m not leaving.”

Michael’s mother stood.

“Michael, he’s your brother.”

Michael didn’t hesitate. “If you support what he did, you can leave too.”

A heavy silence filled the room.

His parents exchanged a glance, then took Jordan’s arm and left.

Stronger Than Ever

Michael turned back to me, his expression softening.

He took my hands in his, his forehead resting against mine.

“I was so scared,” he whispered.

Tears welled in my eyes, but this time, they weren’t from sadness.

“Thank you for standing up for me.”

“From now on, always,” he promised.

And just like that, we got married.

Not in the dress I had dreamed of.
Not in the way I had planned.

But in the way that truly mattered.

With love, with strength, and with the promise that, no matter what, we would always stand together.
