My Husband Left Me for His Boss While I Was Pregnant, Then She Offered Me a House in Exchange for One of My Babies

I was stunned. “We’re expecting twins! How can you do this now?”

He simply replied, “Things change.”

Then came something even more shocking. Veronica looked at me and said, “Since this place is in Eric’s name, you’ll need to move out by the end of the week.”

I was speechless. “I’m about to give birth. Where would I go?”

She responded with a calm smile. “I have an idea. I’ll cover your living expenses and get you a new place. But in return, I want to raise one of the babies.”

I froze. “What are you talking about?”

“I want to be a mom, but not the traditional way. You’re having twins. This way, everyone wins.”

Eric stood silently beside her, not even questioning the offer.

In that moment, I knew I had to stay strong—not just for me, but for my children.

After a long pause, I replied quietly, “Okay. But I get to choose which baby, after they’re born. And I want a house in my name—not just a rental.”

Veronica agreed, convinced she was in control. She quickly bought a beautiful home for me, signing papers without much thought.

As the weeks passed, I kept them updated about the pregnancy and pretended to consider her offer, all while preparing for what I truly intended to do.

When I went into labor, I let them know—but made sure the hospital staff didn’t allow visitors during the birth.

Two beautiful girls, Lily and Emma, came into the world. I spent the next two days loving them, making memories, and finalizing my decision.

On the third day, Eric and Veronica showed up at the house, eager to take one of the babies.

“So, which one is mine?” Veronica asked.

Holding both girls, I looked at her calmly. “Neither.”

Her expression changed instantly. “What are you talking about?”

“I said neither. I never planned to give you one of my children.”

Eric looked irritated. “Don’t turn this into a scene—”

But I continued. “The house? It’s legally mine. You signed the papers. And I’ve shared everything with the world—the messages, the photos, and your proposal. I thought people should know.”

Veronica grabbed her phone in panic, checking online. Her face fell. “What have you done?”

“I stood up for myself,” I said. “This isn’t about revenge—it’s about protecting my daughters.”

The aftermath was swift. Eric lost his job, and the situation drew attention to Veronica’s professional reputation.

Meanwhile, I stayed focused on what truly mattered—creating a peaceful home for my daughters, and moving forward with strength and love.
