Obama responds after Trump accuses him over 2016 election

In a rare public statement, former President Barack Obama has responded to recent remarks by former President Donald Trump, who suggested that the Obama administration attempted to interfere in the 2016 election. The comments, made by Trump during a press event on July 22, drew swift attention and prompted a response from Obama’s office.

Trump, 79, reiterated claims that the previous administration sought to influence the outcome of the 2016 election. “They tried to steal the election… they did things nobody imagined,” he said, according to The Guardian.
