Pete Hegseth Donates $12,9 Million to Build Homeless Support Centers in Minneapolis

In an era when celebrity philanthropy often feels like PR, Fox News host Pete Hegseth’s recent announcement stopped people cold — not because of its size, but because of its sincerity.

Standing behind a simple podium in downtown Minneapolis, the 45-year-old television host, veteran, and father of seven told reporters he was donating his entire $12.9 million annual bonus and sponsorship earnings to launch a network of housing and rehabilitation centers for people experiencing homelessness across Minnesota.

“This city made me who I am,” Hegseth said, his voice steady but heavy with emotion. “No one should freeze to death on the same streets where I learned to walk to school. If success means anything, it’s having the power to make someone else’s life better.”

The initiative, called Operation Homefront Minnesota, will build over 150 permanent housing units and 300 emergency shelter beds across the state — a lifeline for those who face brutal subzero winters that can turn sleeping outdoors into a death sentence.

But this project, Hegseth explained, is more than shelter. It’s structure.
