Country music legend Reba McEntire and actor Rex Linn have officially confirmed their engagement, delighting fans across the globe. The happy news broke during a red carpet interview with Zuri Hall at the 2025 Emmys, where Hall referred to Rex as Reba’s fiancé. Smiling together, the couple shared, “We’re having a blast on Happy’s Place and so glad to be here tonight.”
A Friendship That Blossomed Into Romance
Reba and Rex’s connection spans more than three decades. They first met in 1991 on the set of The Gambler and maintained a lasting friendship long after filming wrapped. Their relationship took a romantic turn in 2020 when they reunited while filming Young Sheldon.
“We instantly bonded over living in Oklahoma and our love for horses and acting,” Reba shared. “He made me laugh, and we became really good friends.” By 2024, she hinted at the possibility of marriage, noting, “If that’s something he feels totally strong about, that’s fine with me. He’s never been married before. So, if he wants to experience that, I’m OK with that.”
Today, the pair not only share their lives off-screen but also star together in the NBC sitcom Happy’s Place, where their on-screen chemistry may soon mirror real life with a heartfelt engagement storyline.
